About A Woman’s Standard
A Woman’s Standard (AWS) is a call to women everywhere to raise the bar— for themselves and for one another.
What was once a journey of growth, reflection, and intentional development has become a passive transition into adulthood. As a result, too many women find themselves unprepared, unequipped, and uncertain of their purpose—unable to contribute meaningfully to their communities or effectively nurture the next generation. A Woman’s Standard exists to disrupt that cycle, reminding us that womanhood is not something we fall into—it's something we rise into.
Our Mission
To shape the next generation of leaders through investing in girls’ emotional growth and development.
A world where every girl has a safe, supportive space to access the resources she needs to become a self-sufficient, emotionally intelligent, and well-rounded leader.
Our Vision
We believe every girl has the power to make choices that shape her future. Through storytelling, student voice, and accountability, we teach girls to trust themselves, speak up, and lead lives rooted in purpose and self-sufficiency. Agency is about owning your story, expressing your truth, and showing up unapologetically.

Wellness
We believe wellness is more than a buzzword, it’s a lifestyle. We take a holistic approach that nurtures mental, emotional, and physical health. From self-care practices to healthy habits, we give girls the tools to build balance, resilience, and wholeness in every area of their lives.
We believe no girl should walk her journey alone. We foster a culture of sisterhood rooted in empathy, encouragement, and collective strength. Through community connections and shared experiences, our girls build lasting bonds and learn the value of giving and receiving support. We connect participants with resources, mentorship, and guidance that remind them they are never without help, and never without a village.
Sisterhood
Many teenage girls—especially those from underserved communities—are navigating adolescence without the emotional tools, support systems, and safe spaces they need to reach their full potential. Over 40% of teens report feeling under-supported during critical developmental years, and as a result, they are increasingly vulnerable to mental health challenges, violence, academic underperformance, identity struggles, and unhealthy relationships—factors that compromise their growth, confidence, and leadership development.
The Challenge
What sets our organization apart is that we don’t just speak to girls—we listen to them. In many spaces, girls are silenced, expected to “stay in a child’s place,” and discouraged from expressing complex thoughts or emotions. At A Woman’s Standard, we disrupt that narrative by creating space for girls to use their voice as a tool for healing and leadership. We center the art of storytelling to honor the student voice—teaching girls how to tell their stories with power, purpose, and pride.
We don’t just develop leaders—we raise the standard for what leadership can look and sound like in the voice of a girl who finally feels seen, heard, and believed.
